HORIZON 2026 STAFF APPLICATION

Devoting a week of your summer to serve at Horizon is a big commitment. We want to make sure everyone knows that before signing up. It's a commitment of time and it's a commitment of living a faithful life to God before, during, and after camp. Please take time to seriously pray about this opportunity before you sign up.

While it is a big commitment, there are some great rewards which come from serving at Horizon. Helping students grow stronger in faith, getting to have conversations with students about the Lord, pouring your heart out in worship, seeing students come together with their friends to take their faith seriously...these are some of the kinds of things we get to be a part of by serving at Horizon.

Serving at Horizon is a very full-time role. It is a sacrificial week where the needs and well-being of students comes before our own. Counselors are to be on-campus from before camp begins until it ends. You will get less sleep than you normally do. You'll have to keep going when it's easier not to. We all work hard while at camp, but it is worth every bit of the sacrifice because we get to be a part of something God is doing in the hearts and lives of students.

Please complete this application if you are interested in serving on the HORIZON 2026 staff. All applications will be reviewed. Background check is required for all participants. You will be notified by email as to the status of this application. All positions are limited. No compensation is provided for serving.

(For parents only: If you are a parent of a camper at Horizon, please know that your role at camp is that of a servant who is helping to make camp better. You are not coming as a parent so that you can keep an eye on your student or spend extra time with your student. Campers should not receive special treatment because a parent is at camp. Special privileges, preferential treatment, or not having to do camp activities just because their parent is there is not fair to other campers.)

PLEASE NOTE THAT STAFF ORIENTATION ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED (NOT OPTIONAL) FOR HORIZON ON THE SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING BEFORE CAMP (possibly starting around 5pm) AND ON SUNDAY STARTING AT AROUND 2PM. DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE NOT AVAILABLE TO ATTEND ORIENTATION.

I understand that applying to HORIZON is a servant role. If approved I will, to the best of my ability, serve the students (campers) of HORIZON in a manner that reflects the teaching of Jesus Christ and holds up the Bible as God's Word. I will do my best to be a Godly role model to the students.
